This is payable through your local authority to the nursery that you have chosen. The grant currently offers 12.5 hours of free care, however as of September 2010 the grant will be increased to15 hours of free care. It applies to all children from the first full nursery term after their third birthday until they begin primary education. Kinder Nurseries will administer this fully on your behalf and keep you up to date on a regular basis of all amounts received and your entitlement.
This system allows both the employer and employee to reduce their tax and national insurance contributions. We accept both agency and employer voucher schemes and would be happy to explain to you how the scheme works.
Your out-of-school costs as well as nursery fees may qualify for the government tax credit scheme. Details are available on request.
A saving in excess of 40% on childcare fees under this facility can be achieved. The benefits to the employee are a saving of tax and National Insurance contributions.
Current legislation allows nursery care to be a tax-deductible expense for the employer and a non-taxable benefit for the employee. Under this facility the employee takes a reduction in their gross salary and the employee’s childcare nursery fees are then paid directly to Kinder Nurseries Ltd on a monthly basis.
A "Workplace" nursery need not be at your workplace! Thus substantial savings can be achieved by utilising this non-taxable benefit. Requires the full involvement of your employer.
