Your child's day will be carefully and thoughtfully planned to provide activities which are well balanced. The variety and diversity of activities and experiences we provide are prepared appropriately to each child within every age group. One of our greatest strengths is that by the time breakfast is cleared away, your child could be cooking, painting, creating or exploring the great outdoors – whatever the weather!
Parental involvement in all aspects of your child’s learning is welcome.

The Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS)
“setting the standards for learning, development and care for children from birth to five”. The new EYFS became statutory from September 2008. It is based upon four ‘themes’:
• A unique child
• Positive relations
• Enabling environments
• Learning and development
These four guiding themes work together to underpin effective practise in the delivery of the EYFS. These themes describe how we, as a key person should support and develop the learning and care of young children. At its heart, the aim of the EYFS is to meet the five outcomes from 'Every Child Matters'. The Foundation Stage curriculum is divided into six areas of learning.
• Personal, Social & Emotional Development
• Communication, Language & Literacy
• Mathematical & Problem Solving
• Knowledge & Understanding of the World
• Physical Development
• Creative Development
Within our curriculum, we specifically cater for a rich and diverse set of activities, experiences and themes, aimed at enabling children to embrace knowledge at their own pace. This document also supports us in the planning of appropriate activities based on the needs and interests of individual children.
This is just a brief overview of the wonderful experiences your child can enjoy during their time at nursery.Your child’s smooth progression through each age group is of paramount importance to us. Change is made when your child is ready, after a discussion with you. Any change is introduced gently and sensitively.
